ECIT:
Electronic Compendium of Images and Text
The Piero Project - World Wide Web Version
Documentation
Software
Note: The online version of the Piero/ECIT database is brand new.
As a result there may be needed refinements in various parts of the
documentation and controls. There may even (gasp!) be a bug here
or there. Please help us improve this system by sending
your comments to
kirk@princeton.edu should you discover anything that you cannot
understand or that does not seem to function properly.
Please note, too, that this software is designed to provide a
framework for individual research and for use in the classroom as
a teaching tool. No attempt is made to provide an alternative to
detailed books about Piero della Francesca. On the contrary, the
database includes almost exclusively the ideas built by Professor Lavin
during her career studying Piero. It is intended to lead you to a
multitude of ideas about this artist and his context and thereby
function as a stepping stone to further discussion (as in a class) or additional research.
