26This land was originally part of the estate of Reverend Samuel Miller of the Theological Seminary which was offered for auction in 1874. Between 1916 and 1918, during the Hibben administration, the University purchased property on the east side of University place. As a result of efforts by Bayard Henry 1876 and other Princeton alumni, the railroad station was moved in 1920-1921 from the vicinity of Blair Tower to its present location. This move allowed for the construction of several dormitories including Pyne (1922), Henry (1924), Foulke (1924), Laughlin (1926), 1901 (1926), Lockhart (1928), the University Store (1958), and eventually I.M.
