Forty-two governors of nineteen states have been alumni of Princeton, ranging from eighteenth-century figures like ``Light-horse Harry'' Lee 1773 of Virginia and William Richardson Davie 1776 of North Carolina to twentieth-century notables such as Woodrow Wilson 1879 of New Jersey and Adlai E. Stevenson '22 of Illinois.
